I have an HD Sharp Aquos 42in LCD TV but I can't change it to it's full resolution of 1920x1080.

This is stopping me from getting the full potential of it's HD output eg. I cannot set my Xbox 360 to match my TV's maximum resolution, whenever I try to set the Xbox to 1920x1080 the TV says Out of Range.

The TV then shows that the resolution is infact something like 1280x720. This then leads me to believe that the TV is broadcasting currently in 720p.

Could anyone help me with changing the TV's resolution?

Well I went to Circuit City to buy a 42” LG plasma TV. The salesman starts hyping up the Panasonic telling me how it’s a much better TV, better reviews, blah blah blah. So now I’m stuck I’ve got it narrowed down to 2 televisions but I don’t know much about the features or specs so I want to get some input before I buy. The 2 TV’s are

LG 42" Plasma HDTV (42PC5D) ---- (1,049.00)
• 720p (1024 x 768) resolution
• NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuners
• Widescreen (16:9)
• 15,000:1 contrast ratio
• 2 HDMI inputs
• Clear Filter Pro

Or

Panasonic 42" Plasma HDTV (TH-42PX75U) ---- (1.099.00)
• 720p (1024 x 768) resolution
• NTSC/ATSC tuners
• Widescreen (16:9)
• 10,000:1 contrast ratio
• 2 HDMI inputs
• Real Black Drive

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is there any way I can break my TV or make it seem to not work without doing anything physical (or noticeably physical)?

I have a 36" Panasonic SDTV if that matters.

We sprayed our TV screev with windex and some dripped down onto the button pannel, all of the sudden the volume went up to 64 (the highest setting.) We finally got the volume down, but none of the buttons except the power button works properly now. Our DVD won't open, we can't get a video tape out of the VCR part, almost all of the buttons make the little volume bar come up on the screen, and if you hold the DVD/open/close button it will make the volume go up, but the volume only stays there for a few seconds then it goes down all the way on it's own. What do we do to fix this???? How do we vet our video tape out?? Thanks for the help!

Ok so I came across this website and you finish a offer thing. This website in not spam.. they make the money by referring us to websites. I picked Fastweb.com it is free website that shows and tells you about all scholarships nationwide. it is a free service. So fast web pays the plasma tv offer website for referring me to them and the offer website gives me a gift for finishing a offer. it works and I know no one wants to spend a lot of money on HDTV so this is the best way to get one. no money comes out your pocket. The offer website make money and other websites gets more visit to there website. so now all you have do is click http://www.plasmas4free.com/default.aspx?r=889711
the link and do one offer. such as stamps.com save money on postal stamps.. then get a gift... as simple as that.

£135.50 to watch shite? I think this is scandalous. I don't see why we should have to pay this amount, or any amount come to think of it just to watch repeats of utter garbage. Anyone else feel like ripping their "TV receiving equipment" (as the letter states) out of the wall and hoying it straight out of the window in protest and utter disgust ??

Hi, I've just set up my freeview box in my new place and it won't even pick up most channels and the signal is so weak the ones it does pick up are unwatchable. What can I do to improve the this? I used the same aerial and digibox in my last house a few streets away and the reception was generally good. I've got an indoor aerial which came with a signal booster but the aerial itself isn't that big, so do I need to buy a better aerial or a better digibox? (I can't replace/connect to any aerial on the roof because it's a rented block of flats)

I'm looking at purchasing an HP PL5072N 50" Plasma but haven't found many reviews other than the obvious (Great picture, resolution, 720p, etc....).

What i'm really wondering is if anyone has had problems with this unit and if so what? Also how long have you owned this product, and how is the QAM tuner? Any feed back is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I want to purchase a panasonic 50inch TH-50PZ700U, that is 1080p and I want to hook up the xbox 360 hd dvd player to the tv. From what I have gathered the xbox can put out a 1080p signal through the component cables, but the tv I wish to purchase will only read up to a 1080i signal through the component (and the vga, in case anyone was wondering). The only way it can read a true 1080p source is through the hdmi, which my xbox does not have as I bought it last year. I'm just wondering if tvs normally upscale the picture to a 1080p and if you would really be able to tell the difference, or do I really need to go get a new xbox with the hdmi? Thanks for any help!

Hi. Besides ordering through a catalog, are there any stores where I could purchase a magnifier for a television set? If so, where, and if not, are there any online stores that sell tv magnifiers where checks or money orders are acceptable forms of payment?

Also, how much does a tv magnifier cost and are they easy to install? Thanks.

Samsung TV
LN-T4061F

or
Sony
KDL-40V3000
KDL-40W3000

What I have noticed is .
There is a 300$ difference in price .. and a lot of other techie information specific to each tv.

Can someone shed some light into this?

Are there any other websites that I can use to make a more realistic comparison?

I would like to know if any of you have any advice on what brand, and what type of tv is the best out in the market right now. Money is not really an issue, we would rather spend a little more for something to last us longer. Thanks for your answers in advance.
