i lost the sound on my tv when i was trying to hook up a dvd player?

forget the dvd player, i unhooked it from the tv, i just want my sound back to my tv, i tried everything from the setup to the audio setup i cant seem to get the volume back can anybody help me, i have a pro-scan tv. thank you!

Do you have video? if not, you are in the wrong "input" or "source". Use your remote or the menu to go to the TV source.

If you have video, then you are probably in mute. Check your remote again for the mute button.
