I will turn it on then after about 30 minutes it will shut itself off then won't come back on for a few hours. It's been doing this for a while. What's wrong with it!

I have a Elite Pioneere Big Screen which has recently broken... It Will cost more to fix than it is worth. Who provides services to take it off my hands? It is a Biohazard apparently so i cant just throw it away. I live in scottsdale AZ but any ideas are appretiated.

Tv with dvd and vhs

I start out on channel 2, and press up the channel up button, it skips from 2 to 7, and then to 9. Why does it not go 3,4,5,6,7 incremental by one? I know that I have the channels in between, because when I press on 3, or 4, or whichever channel number I want to see- it gets displayed. Is there a way I can change this? Thanks,

It says it can withstand 270 pounds and my TV is only 75 pounds.

I get the impression that a built-in tuner is strictly for over the air local signals in HD. Like an antenna. Am I wrong?
I don't see why a built-in tuner is such a big deal. Don't most people get HD channels (including local channels) through a dish anyway?

I had a tv and a vcr hooked up with a coaxial cable. I need to add a dvd. So i bought a rf modulator. Now I have the coaxial cable from the cable system to the vcr 'in', a coaxial cable from the vcr 'out' to the rf 'ant in', the yellow, red, and white connections hooked up between the dvd and the rf modulator, and a coaxial cable between the rf out and the tv in. I can't get the dvd to work. When I turn the tv on 3 (the rf modulator is set to 3), I don't get the blue screen of the philips dvd player, and i don't get playback if there is a dvd in the drive. Only static. I tried other channels on the tv, nothing helps. (I hooked the dvd up directly to another tv, and it works). I called Philips and they suggested it is a problem with the rf modulator or the tv, and they can't help me. Suggestions?

The dvd player is connected with an RCA to coax adapter. We hooked it up but cannot make the DVD player work with the TV. I think it's because there is no video setting on the TV remote. My brother says we need a BF box or something like that. He could not remember what it is called. The back of the tv has no spot for plugs, just coaxial cables. The DVD player is a small Coby with a remote.

My wife has been renting this big screen for the past 2 years. now the company wants her to buy it because they said its not in any condition to take it back. we talked to me friend cledius who was a lawyer or somethin at one time. He said that we voided the rental agreement when we put cigaretts out on the tv. he was talking about normal wear and tear, or something like that, i dont understand all that educated talk. heres the prices im not good at math.

Old tv rental 81 dollars a month
we have to buy it so its now 930 dollars because its only 2 years old.

we can probably sell if for a 1000 or 1200, or I can trade it for this jackhammer i need, im a good trader.

New rental price 104 per month (my wifes pregnant so she gets and increase in her welfare payments when its born)

what is a better deal? buy the tv and then watch it, or buy that tv and sell if for what we can and then rent the newest model thats a little bigger. cant buy a big screen, dont have the money.

I'm clueless about tvs so bear with me. Browsing in an electronics shop, all of the hd tvs were marked "hd ready". If so, when you bring one home do you need to add on some sort of external device or what. How does a tv go from hd ready to hd working?
Also what is the cheapest hd tv you've seen? How much did it retail for?
Finally, which would you recommend plasma or lcd?
Thanks
