Get a new TV, that one is toast. The loud pop is most likely a capacitor in the high voltage power supply burning. Do not plug the TV back, it may burn.
If it is a recent valuable unit, take it to a TV repairshop. But if the TV is more than 10 years old, get a new one; that will be cheaper.

Multiply the repair cost by the number of years you've had the TV. If the figure you come up with is more than the cost of a new TV, chuck it. It's time for you to step up to hi def.

Get a sparkling television, that one is toast. The loud pop is definitely a capacitor interior the intense voltage energy grant burning. do no longer plug the television back, it would burn. even if if it truly is a updated smart unit, take it to a television repairshop. yet while the television is larger than 10 years historic, get a sparkling one; to be able to be extra fee-valuable.

sounds like the picture tube, might be just as cheap to buy a new tv as to try to have it repaired. There are some really reasonably priced tv's these days.

Call your city to find out how to dispose of it properly. Unless it is still under warranty, it will not be worth fixing. If you want better advice, ask this question again, but specify: type of TV (CRT, plasma, etc.) screen size, how old it is)
