Any brand, but I would like to stick to well known brands for their reputation, such as Sony, Panasonic, Ferguson, etc.
Freeview and analogue tuners if possible!

If I do that, will the savings be worth the 1 hour drive and any duty I may have to pay at the border?

Lightening has run in on two of our tv sets and cable. We have the cable fixed but the only tv we have is an old Quasar floor model which is almost as old as me (which is OLD). Also, I am very very electronically challenged. Thanks very much for any help.

More specifically, are there some HDTV's with which you dont need to have a HD cable/Satellite box? Are the options only useful when considering OTA broadcast? Which option is best for most users? and why?

I bought it to replace my regular SDTV (27") and my bulky old PC monitor. This new monitor has HDTV hook ups for my XBOX 360, a cable input to watch TV, and a VGA adapter to hook up my computer. It is for saving room in my dorm. The brand is Syntax, and the model is Olevia...maybe that's reversed, but regardless, what do you, the internet community, think?

How do the indor digital arials work? I have seen ones that you just plug into your existing tv and you can receive freeview channels through it. Am I assuming I dont need a freeview box? If not & I can get these channels, how do I change the channel?

I have looked at some of the tvs and found that not all of them have VGA or DVI inputs and those are the outputs on my video card. But I do have this cool DVI-to-Composite video cable and was wondering if I could hook-up the TV to my computer that way?

Or is digital cable required for all HDTV programming? I know you can receive local HD channels by using a set-top box, but was wondering if it would work with analog cable.
