I have looked at some of the tvs and found that not all of them have VGA or DVI inputs and those are the outputs on my video card. But I do have this cool DVI-to-Composite video cable and was wondering if I could hook-up the TV to my computer that way?

Yes, I use a 27" LCD as my monitor because I bought a bigger one for bedroom. It's great but I didn't like it at first, I found it was not as clear as a reg lcd comp screen, but sometimes I switch back and watch tv instead of working and that's the advantage.

As long as the TV has a composite video input jack, sure.

You can do it but the image quality for computer use will suffer. Make sure you can return it if you don't like the results.
