You probably need to get your dish realigned, it must be a bit off which will degrade the signal in bad weather. I never have any problems in any weather and am in Edinburgh, probably further north than you?? which means that my signal is weaker to start with. It could also be a faulty or poor quality LNB or poor connections on the downlead, even the wrong type of cable. You need to get it checked over thoroughly.

I got the same problem, The picture freezes. I told Sky and you will never beleive what they told me! They said it is caused by a storm in space!!

If you can stop the rain, you've cracked it; otherwise, no, it won't work in heavy rain and there's nothing can be done about it.
