Are televisions recycled now or simply sent to landfills? I live in London, Ontario if anyone knows of a specific sevice in my area.

In Alberta, there is a program in place for recycling of electronics, but I don't know if it's done anywhere else. You should check with city hall to find out what to do

Many places have laws against improper disposal of cathode ray tubes and other electronics. Call your city offices and find out what they require. You may actually have to pay a fee to have it disposed of, but that varies from city to city. The tubes and electronics contain toxic materials that are not degradable.

If you take a sledgehammer to it and bust up the vacuums, the landfills will accept them.

just throw it in the garbage recycling it wont save the earth its far to late to save the earth why with global worming and all.
