Hi! Not very sure if anyone of you have tried connecting from HDMI output of a DVBT STB to an RGB input of an Infocus Projector. Does it work? Will resolution be compromised? Thanks!

I have digital cable. Only one TV has a cable box which I rent from the company. The other TV's do not get as many channels because I do not rent a box for each.

Is it possible to buy a cable box used? Will any digital cable box work or must I have the same exact one as the one I rent?

I want to buy a new hdtv and I don't know what to look for in one. What is hdtv ready, and what other options are there. Do I need some kind of special box? What about pixiles? I would like to get about a 36" one. I don't have a mint of money to spend, but I don't want to skimp on features and quality. I need help in knowing what type of questions to ask the salesperson. Also will I need to buy a dvd player that is hd ready or are older dvd players fine.

I have cable in one room, and would like to have it in a second room as well. If I purchase a Cable Splitter and run a cord to the second tv, can I watch different channels on each tv simultaneously, or are both required to be watching the same channel?

I just recently upgraded to a 50" hp plasma television, obviously I've turned into a major couch potato over the last week. I have also upgraded my DirecTV to the hi-def service. My only gripe is that my local channels are not available in hi-def. I live in Greenville, SC and I know it is, by no means, the largest television market in the nation, but with over 3 million people in the market, it also isn't the smallest. I'm sure I'm not the only person set up for hi-def service, so my question is how can I find if/when my local channels will offer high definition service and who can I contact to start putting a little pressure on the local networks to speed up the process of getting it started.
