Buy a uninveral remote form the places listed above.
Makesure to look on the back so that the remoteworks for TV/VHS combos. Some universal remotes will only work with tvs or VCRS but not the two combined into one unit.

I had to do that. There are 2 ways:
(1) Go to Radio Shack and tell them you want a Universal Remote. One will cost about $10 or $15. Be sure and look on the back of the package to make sure it's good for whatever brands of equipment you have (like Sony, Sanyo, etc.) Most of them are good for any kind, but I got one that didn't work on my Memorex DVD. If you can't tell, like because maybe the list of brands is folded up inside the package, then be sure & save your receipt and let them know you'll need to bring it back if you can't get it to work.
(2) Order the specific kind(s) you need. Look in the back of your owner's manual and find the model number of your original remote and the phone number of where to get it. Call them up and order it (or them). Here was my experience on that: The remote for my Memorex DVD remote went on the blink. Some of the functions quit working. I got a Universal Remote and it worked but wouldn't do everything like zoom and captions. So I ordered one just like the original from the manual. It took 3 weeks to arrive and cost $28 including shipping. (It's for the DVD only.) Sorry this is so long. Good luck.

If you want to buy the OEM remote that came with your TV, you can contact your TV's maufacturer, or try visiting their web site, just be warned OEM remotes can be quite pricey.
You can go buy a universal remote, but unless you buy a harmony remote, you might experience some difficulty using all of your TV's functions.
With the harmony remote, you enter your TV's exact model number into your computer, and the remote will automatically download all of the necessary programming for your equipment.
You can also program other devices into the harmony remote and then you'll be able to streamline the use of your devices with the activity buttons on the remote.
p.s. I don't work for the company that makes harmony remotes, I own a couple of them, and I find them just fantastically easy to use.

Go get a Universal Remote and program it to your brand of TV. Very easy and inexpensive. Probably under $20.

Go to......Well, never mind! The guys above have covered it pretty good.
ANY appliance section will have generic remotes that can operate all those things. You just have to program it to your stuff. Instructions are with the remote.
