Does anyone know where you can buy reasonably priced satalite phones for use both within the UK and abroad. It needs to be able to support a pay-as-you-go style payment system and be handhelt, not a suitcase style unit ?

What sought of money would I need to buy one ?

As anyone got an experience with satalite phones ?

Thanks.

Was it worth the money? Do you regret it?

Or was it a real bargain and well worth the money?

Looking for the best DVD player in price range of 4K - 5K, which supports major audio/video formats, and 5.1 Dolby surround sound. Should be able to play CD/DVD with scratches.

My current Samsung DVD system does not manage CD/DVD with scratches, and only original DVDs seem to work in it.

If possible please mention the Model No. along with the Brand.

...and if so, what kind(s) of things do you collect like that? Do you use them as well?

For fun, I have a couple of cool and colorful dial Telephones that I use in spare rooms, and a old 8 track player and some tapes I use to amuse friends, and a old Atari game system I play for kicks because of it's primitive look and a huge LED watch. All of this stuff is courtesy of garage sales, and I dont spend too much as the cheap price is part of the fun!

Anybody else collect the occasional obsolete tech item for amusment purposes?

Someone told me that you can record something off from tv, even though you don't have a dvd player, but you have a satellite. Is this true, if so, how? Thanks.

my friend used my MW,suddenly a power blackout for abt 15mins. she removed the food but forgot to turn the dial off.when the power came back, it was switched to on & there was a sort of a flash inside the MW & smelled burnt rubber or whatever.then try it again if it will be switched on but to no avail, no power & can't use it. is it still repairable?is it still safe to use it if it will be repaired?

I just got an SNES system because we wanted to play some old games and didn't want to pay the money for a Wii. Well, we have a new HDTV and I can't figure out how to hook it up and make it work. I hooked it up to the only place I could find and tried to use the input button to find the right place to play it on and it won't work. The power to it is on but it won't work. What should I do?

Hi, I recently came across a keyboard I had purchased earlier this year for a holiday gift. Unfortunately, what I didn't know was that there were batteries in it. When I opened it, I saw corrosion on only one battery connection, the others look good.

I replaced the batteries, cleaned it and it won't work. Any one know of how to clean the corrosion from the connection? Thanks!

a few months ago my 360 broke, so i called xbox and they were going to send me a box, whihc i would put my console in and ship it back to the repair center, and they would repair it for free..so i said ok and they mailed me the box...........but....after a bout a week , it was taking too long for the box too arrive so i decided to just return my xbox for a new one at best buy since i had a warranty...so when the box finally did arrive, i just kept it and it is now sitting in my closet.......................now about 4 months later, xbox just sent me a brand new xbox 360 (console only)....and inside was a note saying this is a replacement unit...................it says nothing about me having to return it or anything..................so, i can keep it right?!

I'd like to hook up my computer and my Xbox 360 to the same monitor. I have a flatscreen Samsung Syncmaster 19" LCD. I have a 63" SXRD in my living room, but theres always people watching tv, plus I have to use wireless internet, which is not always very fast. My mom wont let me have my 360 in my room either until I have a 3.5 gpa or better anyway. I have a capture card on my pc, which I want to start recording my Gears of War montages, so it would be perfect. However, I only see one input on the monitor, and I have my pc plugged into it. Is there some kind of splitter with a switch that I can buy, to switch between 360 input and pc input?

I got a pair of Bose headphones for xmas (can't remember the exact type), but I was wondering if I should swap them for another pair - and maybe get better headphones for the money- by choosing a different brand?
I'm gonna use it for my laptop to edit sound - so it can't pick up computer-noises, but it would be cool if they had that 'noise cancelling thing', which these ones havent. My budget is about £100. Any ideas?
