I ordered a TV froim them on Tuesday and they still can't say when it will be delivered, even though they origionally said I should have it by Thursday.

Looking around the web they seem to have a very bad reputation.

Has anyone else had any experience of them?

My GPS takes a little while to "warm up" before giving readings. On some days it is really quick and other days it can take about nearly 5 minutes. I would like to know what happens during this warm up time. Does it mean actual warming , as in temperature stability? Or does it refer to the electronics becoming stable ? Or does it mean that it is taking time to get reliable satelite readings?

knowing that Blue ray can store up to 50Gb while HD DVD can only store 15GB of data, which side would you vlounteer in this battle bettween the two who seems not so friendly with each other (as of now there not yet releasing patches for their compatibility with each other)?

Hey guys, I turned on my video camera and took some pictures of my skateboard

I turned my camera off, took out my SD card and put it into my laptop card reader.

About 5 minutes later I picked up my camera (which was off) and the battery pack (which has 2 AA's) was BOILING! and the camera was hot!
I immediatly opened the power box and took the 2 AA's out, they were SO HOT i couldnt hold them for 5 seconds without burning myself, it felt like they were going to explode in my hand

Can anyone please explain why this happened? They are new AA Kodak Alkaline batteries that came with the camera

I just bought a new Toshiba TV with a DVD home theatre system. The tv/cable works fine, but I can't get the dvd player to play on it. Does anyone know how many plugs there should be connecting the two? I have 3 (red yellow white). I'm curious about an "s video" plug, which i don't seem to have, is that for extra things, or is that necessary? If anyone could lay out the procedure for testing if the dvd player works, that'd be great. E.g. "turn on dvd player" go to "input on tv" change input to "video 1?" It's most unfortunate that the instructions are not enough :( Oh and the dvd player does work, since the sound was working on its own speakers, but couldn't get sound/picture on the tv!
Thanks for any and all help.

I know PS3 has problems with TVs incapable of 720p. But I have a problem, my TV is definately capable of 720p. In fact the main menu/interface is in 720p with an HDMI cable. But when I start a PS2 game, the screen flickers and downscales to 480p. I don't understand. This shouldn't happen since my TV HAS 720p. Could someone please explain to me what is going on?

I just bought a new HDTV (Plasma) and I have a perfectly good DVD player (although it is 5 years old). Are the upconvert players worth it as far as image quality goes? Also, what kind of cables do you need to use with them? Are old-fashioned RCA cables good enough, or do you need HDMI?

I just bought an HDTV (Plasma) and hooked up my HD service. All I need now is an HDMI cable to hook my cable box to my TV. I went to Best Buy and all the HDMI cables are ridiculously expensive (from companies like Monster Cable). Then I looked online (Tigerdirect.com) and found similar cable for like 16 bucks. Is there any reason to buy the more expensive ones? Are they any better? Thanks.

for example, if one were trying to take a raw 1080i or 720p file of 15 gb and wanted to fit it onto a DVD or, worse a CD, would it better to compress the original resolution (eg, 1280x720) agressively, or to resize it to 720x480 but use a less agressive compression?
