knowing that Blue ray can store up to 50Gb while HD DVD can only store 15GB of data, which side would you vlounteer in this battle bettween the two who seems not so friendly with each other (as of now there not yet releasing patches for their compatibility with each other)?

Any stand?

I'm inclined to move towards Blue-Ray... So many big companies collaborated to make Blue Ray and now they will endorse it with all their players and writers. So I reckon it's better to go the way of the majority and be a sheep.

The other thing is, when buying disks in future I reckon the price for blank disks will be the same. So if you were to pay the same price, why would you want 15Gb instead of 50Gb?

In regards to the idea that there is no patch for cross compatibility, you are right but this Morning I heard that Universal Pictures is designing a type of Disk that will play in both Blue Ray players and HD DVD players. Although this isn't really changing the player so much as the disk.

blu-ray is so much better, although i can't get as many blu-ray movies here it has been easy enough to order them from the states or elsewhere. not only are they releasing new movies but they are also releasing old movies on to blu-ray too, they have quite a collection actually. planet earth was one of the first blu-ray things i got and i was blown away with how crystal clear the picture is. obviously the fact that the blu-ray discs store more data makes them more favourable too, we're going to see a whole lot more of special features etc which is great for movie fanatics. it will be interesting to see how they fill the discs.
