I was looking through the box of stuff I got with my mini and I noticed that the plastic thing they give you so that your mini can fit into a docker was for a nano. When I bought my mini, nano's were not on the market. Why do you think it's there? I didn't buy it either, it actually came with the mini, I remember it.

I'm looking for a cheap mp3 player for my car. 1GB should be good because I don't want to keep burning new CDs every time a new song comes out and I won't be carrying it around with me so it's ok if it have a small capacity.

A friend gave me a Sansa mp3 player. Does anyone know what app I use to load it? WMP? RealPlayer? Either? Or special software from Sansa (that I don't have). Thanks!

I thought it was, but I've heard that it's only illegal if you download it and then sell it.

I am thinking of taking up DJing, but unfortunately know nothing about it. So firstly, which is best; vinyl or CD? What would be a good set to get? I have a £200 budget, might be able to stretch to £250, and am interested in all music but would hopefully be mixing DnB etc. Remember I have no experience in DJing.

Thanks a lot!

People can still trade each other maybe buying one cd and sharing with 50 people, download from some alternative sites offered from overseas accounts for pennies per song. Either way the record company will never get the money it did before. The flood gates are to hard to close. People will find away when you want them to pay $20 for a cd containing 2 songs they like or when you want $1.99 for a song lasting 3 months or that may only be listened to for a month. There are russian websites offering songs for a few cents each the recording industry has been trying to go after them with no success because they do not fall under US laws. I will never buy a CD, record or MP3 from them again. i am willing to pay .10 for a song though from an legal overseas entity. Will the recording industry ever give up or do they really think they can win.

hi. i just bought a 30 gb ipod on ebay. when i received it, the battery icon looked about half-full. i listened to music for 1/2 hour. then it was in the red. later, i charged it for about 3 1/2 hours. the battery icon was about half-full after this. is this normal? the seller did say that this ipod has not been used for about 2 months. would that be an effect? and how long should it take me to charge this thing?? thanks a lot -kt

As soon as I play my ipod, once I get the icon saying it is fully charged, it plays for an hour then dies.

I have just restored it to its factory settings, will this make the battery last longer?

I remember there was a RIP option on it, but I don't find it anymore.

Maybe only certain versions of Windows Media Player have that RIP version to ripping and converting to MP3 format?

And do you know any other FREE softwares that I can download for converting audio files to MP3 format with minimum limitations?

I have a Bose docking station for my i-pod and have two issues: (a) my ipod doesn't seem to be held in place, there is a lot of room for movement when its connected, and the metal back of the ipod can rest agaist the front of the speaker which causes the ipod to vibrate when sound is played through the dock (b) there is a background hiss which comes from the dock speakers whenever the ipod is connected (whether the ipod is turned on or off) which is also audible when music/audio is played. I'm not a hi-fi buff or anything, but I thought that if I shelled out for Bose I would not have these kind of problems. Is this normal? Does anyone else have the same issues?
