Can I hook my video nano to my tv and watch shows on the tv? I would like to use this feature to watch shows at a friends house with others. Do I need a special cord for this? Where can I get one and how much does it cost? Thank you

Check out ebay for the cheap "iPod AV cable". They are mostly composite cables [yellow = video, red/white = right/left audio]. Just decide what type of connections you want to purchase:
1) Through the 3.5mm socket [top] <-- I recommend this
2) Through the iPod socket [bottom] <-- you can't charge your iPod or put it on a cradle
There are cradles that offers video out / S-video out. You can go for that if you want to pay more. Also, the S-video, I think, is just a gimmick because your video quality on the iPod screen is already crappy and it doesn't make it better by enlarging it or even use S-Video socket
