i have had quite a few problems with my ipods. the apple brand is good and useful but htey have a history of breaking. first think of how long you have had the ipod if you still have the store warrenty or an extended warrenty. if you dont it is not worth sending to apple because they will charge you a fortune for something that is easy to fix for them and your total cost will probebly come to more than what a new ipod is worth. if you don't have the warrenty you are best leaving the ipod rest a little a couple of days i woulds suggest then seeing if it works then if not i would suggest investing in a new ipod. sorry that doesnt sound good news if you don't have the warrenty

There is a way to force your iPod to reboot. You don't need to let the battery run down.

Turn the Hold switch on. Then slide it off again. Now, press the centre and up buttons AT THE SAME TIME. Hold them both down for around 10 seconds. The iPod will reboot.

If that doesn't work, do a Restore on it. It'll wipe your iPod, but I'm assuming you have everything from your iPod on your PC anyway.

If that also doesn't work. It's likely to be a hardware issue. If you have the receipt, take it to the Mac Genius desk in an Apple store.

if you have a warranty on it you have some luck but if not to bad. if you have a warranty take it back to were you got it and take it to customer service and they will either fix it or refund it if you don't have a warranty you could take the ipod to were you got it and ask if they will fix it if they won't your on your own
