My speaker's cord was broken on the inside becaue it was bent so much. The cord was broken really near the connecter thing. (I have no idea what it's called. It's just like the connecter thing on a pair of headphones.) Is there anything I can do to fix it or do I have to buy a new pair of speakers?

I just got a a dual 1214 record player and well i dont have the manual. It came with a 6 LP stacking spindle that is suppose to allow 6 lps to be played in a row. However i dont know how to set it up to do this. here is a link to a pic of it that shows the spindle as well.
http://dual-reference.com/tables/1214.htm

record players were before my time. So i dont know much about them. I can get it to play one record without the stacking spindle

Here's the problem: My i-pod was connected to a laptop I had about a year ago. That computer broke down so I got a new laptop. When I tried to hook my i-pod up to the new computer, a message popped up saying that it won't support 2 I tunes libraries, and that I must either erase all of the songs already on my i-pod, or not upload any of the new songs. I have no way of deleting my old library from the broken computer, so I'm wondering what I can do to put new songs from the new laptop onto my i-pod without losing the songs that are already on it. Thanks!

The sound quality of playback through itunes is horrible on my computer, yet when I play the same files through windows media player, they sound great. I have tried fiddling with the equalizer on itunes and playing with the quicktime playback settings, but nothing works. It sounds like the songs playing through itunes are all muffled and staticky. Any ideas?

I just purchased an iPod shuffle. Unfortunately it isn't compatible with windows media player and so I was forced to download iTunes.
I have no idea how to use it and can't seem to control what goes on my iPod shuffle. How do I update my music library? How do I quickly select an artist to synch with the iPod?
The device seems okay so far but I'd like to put some specific tracks on it and iTunes isn't very easy to use.
Does anyone know of any online instructions or have any advice themselves to help me out?
Thanks.

I'm interested in knowing whether speakers in 1987 are really better than today's typical sony panasonic logitech speakers. By 1987 I mean a top of the line CD Audio player that's pretty big and bulky and speakers that cost $10,000 or more. By today I mean the speaker systems you buy at BestBuy for less than $500.

My question has to do with curiosity. Back in the 80s people were using audio cassette tape. Charlie Sheen's character in the 1987 movie Wall Street had a CD player in his pad.

Are we really lucky now? Any mp3 player (of today) is better than cassette (of yore), but what about 1987 CD audio system with the best speakers of its time?

I just got a 160gb Ipod and I have all my music uploaded...now I'm curious about getting movies and TV shows on there.

First of all, is iTunes the only source for downloading movies and TV shows?

Second, can I convert my Windows Media videos and make them playable on the ipod?

If there is a converter needed, what would be the best place to download this for free?

Any other general help would be greatly appreciated if you have some ins and outs advice for me! Thanks!
