I have a Bose docking station for my i-pod and have two issues: (a) my ipod doesn't seem to be held in place, there is a lot of room for movement when its connected, and the metal back of the ipod can rest agaist the front of the speaker which causes the ipod to vibrate when sound is played through the dock (b) there is a background hiss which comes from the dock speakers whenever the ipod is connected (whether the ipod is turned on or off) which is also audible when music/audio is played. I'm not a hi-fi buff or anything, but I thought that if I shelled out for Bose I would not have these kind of problems. Is this normal? Does anyone else have the same issues?

Unfortunately, you have been caught up by the Bose hype. Bose is a triumph of marketing over common sense.

Bose products are grossly overpriced, considering their poor sound quality and lousy build quality. Many other products at the same price point (and cheaper...) will outperform Bose in every respect.

Sorry, but that is the cold hard truth.

I don't have an iPod (and won't, on general principles) But I have Bose speakers and headphones, and the quality is impeccable. This sounds like a question that should be addressed to the Bose people - I have found them most helpful, and very interested in maintaining the quality of the products.

What you report is not acceptable for a Bose product and assuming you didn't get stuck with a counterfeit, they'll fix or replace it

Bose is physically powerful yet no longer as stable because of the fact the B&W (that's £4 hundred) or the JBL radial (£179). Bose products are very stable high quality merely extremely costly for what they might desire to furnish.. i'm prepared on Bose as i'm arranged to pay th top classification for the well-known yet now and returned there are greater applicable suggestions and B&W and JBL are greater applicable than Bose..
