I thought it was, but I've heard that it's only illegal if you download it and then sell it.

It's illegal on the same level that walking into a music store and taking a CD without paying for it is illegal.

The musician made the music and wants to sell it.

The music company produced the music and wants to sell it.

When someone comes along and steals their stuff, well, that's pretty much illegal.

I buy my songs off of iTunes, unless I can't find the song I want on there (I downloaded songs from A Very Potter Musical & A Very Potter Sequel, which could only be bought for a dollar on their website and I don't have a credit card or a Pay. I also downloaded a song which I needed for a school project that wasn't on iTunes for some reason.) Do I support it? I'm 50/50. If it's some big artist or band who is rich, I'll download their songs. If it's an artist that I really like that I can find on iTunes, and maybe they're not that big, I'll buy them. But yeah, MTV Cribs made me not really feel bad about this stuff.
