i wanna get the new ipon nano but i wanna watch full movies. can i do that. movies like lord of trhe rings. if so how many movies can the 4g version hold?

Yes, that is what they have been working on so hard, was to provide everyone with the small nano design with the technology to play the videos that everyone has come to enjoy.
It is most definitely worth the investment if that is what you are really looking for.

Yeah! Dude get it. I have Disturbia and The Simpson's movie on mine. It has great quality, but the screen is small. I would suggest the 8 GB version.
4GB= 5-6 Movies
8GB= 10-12 Movies

yes and the number of movies it holds is based on the quality and the lenght of the movie but just come off the top of my head i'd say it could hold about 5 movies if you had no music or photos on it

The ads say that it holds up to 5 hours of video.

YES U CAN!!! I just got mine and i love it! It looks great. Im not sure how many they can hold, but its still amazing.
