I moved from my old address to the new address several months ago. I called AT&T customer service several times to make sure my cancellation including long distance services. However, they are still sending me a bill for the long distance plans for my old phone number. I no longer can trust their telephone customer service. Very tired! What should I do?

Need a cordless phone with answering machine that has great reception for both parties. Water resistant would also be nice, but not necessary.

I work in downtown Chicago and there is a payphone out in the hall that rings every ten goddamn minutes!! All goddamn day!! Its been this way since I started. When you answer it, there's never anyone there, but its ringing again in ten minutes! What the hell!? I just wanna snatch the damn reciever off the wall and beat the hook with it until its a twisted metal mess.

Noticed how hard everyone including your own phone company that (supposedly) works for you has made it so inconvenient to block calls? Listen, I don't care if its someone I OWE money too, or a politician, or advertiser, or fax. It's my line, my number, my phone that I PAY for. With the simple click of a code and a $1.50 charge per block, I should be able to painlessly and permanently block ANY number of my choosing for no reason whatsover. Why are we letting Big Business and Big Brother dictate what should be a very accessable and easy service? There, I feel better, uh oh the phone is ringing..

I have a phone wire going into my house, but there is no phone socket, just the bare wire. Will I need to pay the £125 fee to get a BT engineer to sort it or can an electrician fit a socket for me?

THIS QUESTION IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER USED A NON DIAL PHONE! This is just to see what people think. Indicate the sound or exact words heard, what your response would be, and would there be any further questions.

I know there are a lot of kits that can turn any electrical outlet into a phone extension, but this is different. I have a phone jack on one wall, and a regular business phone in the middle of a table of a large room. I don't want to run a cord all the way from the wall to the phone. I'd rather plug a device into the wall jack, and plug the phone into a little box that can talk to the box I plugged into the jack. Kind of a wireless "bridge" using Bluetooth or something. Does this exist?

Probably the best idea is to look at an old phone book. But is there an easier way? Possibly online, etc.

I have turned my answering machine off several times and it continues to turn itself back on. I cannot understand how a piece of electronic equipment can do this. You have to push a button under a cover to turn off/on and I am quiet confused as to why it still continues to come on by itself.
