I moved from my old address to the new address several months ago. I called AT&T customer service several times to make sure my cancellation including long distance services. However, they are still sending me a bill for the long distance plans for my old phone number. I no longer can trust their telephone customer service. Very tired! What should I do?

goto this website and put in your address>>>see if you have another provider in your area...

I was so sick and tired of messing around with phone companies too!

Unless you have a contract that requires you to pay them for a certain period of time, you should PIC your new number to another carrier. When the bills arrive, you just mark them with a notice that the number is no longer in service and save a copy for your files/.

You can file a complaint with the Public Utility Commission (PUC) in your state. Write them a letter with the timeline and the details of the facts and events. They should help you get it resolved.

I worked for a telecom company in the past and the complaints from PUC are worked upon immedietely as they involve fines for the company.

You may cancel ANY long distance carrier at any time!!! I do not have ANY long distance carrier. I use a calling card for that purpose. AT&T used to charge me $3 or 4.00 a month just for the USE of the long distance connection. (Even if I never called anyone!!)

Be sure they aren't dinging your credit report. I got screwed over by AT&T and didn't find out about it until I went to buy a house, needless to say I was pissed.
