I keep getting calls from a specific number. When I answer it goes to dial tone or just hangs with no computer or person on the other end. Is there a way to look up who owns this number? I'm on the do not call list, and that has taken care of a large number of unwanted calls. This one is just a mystery.

******BE ABSOLUTELY HONEST WITH ME********* should I just cancel my phone service and rely on our cell phones we already have? Do you do that?

I'm having trouble with my phone lines. When someone calls me, they get a busy signal. When I pick up the phone from the inside of the house, it sounds like it is disconnected. (the bill has been paid for this month) The telephone company will not do anything to solve this problem and I've been without phone service for the last 3 days. What should I do.

What is the use of having in place the old infrastructure of telephone poles and copper wire when there is no longer a need for such things that negatively impact our environmental aesthetic and require construction and maintenance as well as leave themselves vulnerable to elemental deterioration?

Recently I got a Motorola Voice-enabled Cable Modem for Internets broadband connections as well a digital phone connections. I was using a regular phone line from a telephone company before I got the VeCM. Now I need to connect my phone to the VeCM that has a phone connection provided by another telephone/ISP company . Is there any way to connect a phone to both telephone lines by using a splitter as I don't want to terminate my old phone line?

I don't think I should come out of pocket for this one. The phone company offered their services for $130... If it was my house, i'd understand, but this is my apartment and I've been here only a year... I'm thinking maybe pay for it upfront so it can get done sooner then have my landlord reimburse me...what do you think?
