ok, here is the law....when there call you again....ask them to take your number off, and never bother you again....if there call back, tell them this is already the 2nd violation, and you are gonna tape the conversation...now, that important...if there really call again...you tell them right-a-way, you are on a recorded line....this is the 3rd time I've told you not to bother me anymore.....

the law says, after the 3rd call, if you got the evidence you can sue for 500 dollars..

so tape the calls from now on....

I done it, and it really works, I got 1,500 without going to court..

The only orgs immune from the Do Not Call list are charities and organizations with whom you already have a relationship with (businesses, banks, etc), unless you've explicitly told them that you don't want to hear from them.

What I've done is, after business hours, call the 877 # to see if I get routed to a real live person. Almost never the case: the toll-free # represent a call center, and you end up w/ some recording. That recording will tell you who's calling. I program the Caller ID w/ name w/ the org's name. Now, when the name/number comes up, I mute the ringer and ignore then call. If it's that important, they'll leave a message. If not, don't care.
