Let me correct you, friendo. The first game in the "series" Was Operation: Hawkeye, though that's not officially a battlefield game. Next up is 1942, what is arguably considered Battlefield 1. Afterwards, came Vietnam, followed by 2, followed by 2142, followed by BC 1+2, and later this year, Battlefield 3 is coming out. Battlefield 2 had no storyline, so it's a safe bet that the story in the 3rd game will be independant from any other game.

Three-way calling allows you to add a third party to a previously established connection. If either party hangs up after the three-way call is established, you are still connected to the remaining party.

To initiate 3-way calling, first establish or receive a call with one party, then depress and release the hook-switch to put the original party on hold. Listen for three bursts of dial tone followed by steady (normal) dial tone.
Dial the number of the third party. When this party answers you can talk privately, When you are ready to establish the conference connection, depress and release the hook-switch.
When the originating party hangs up, all parties are disconnected and the call is completed.
If the third party does not answer or the line is busy, depress and release the hook-switch and you are connected to your original party.
