i mean that i know that higher megapixles = larger image sizes .. but what about imageg quality ?? .. does this realy only on the Processor of the digital camera ? CCD , CMOS and special processors like Canon DIGIC II and so on ??

also .. if we we take a pic froma camera with 4MP and a Camera with 8MP , and then resized the pic from the 8MP will this lead to better quality image than the 4MP ?? or they will be the same ...

We would like to buy a digital camera, mostly for taking pictures and putting them on the pc, then sending to friesnd and family. We would like to be able to print some of them out as well though, on our printer or in the shops
We have no idea which kind are best, I have looked at some guides to see what kind would be best, in terms of pixels etc so I am a little more informed, and we thought around 3 or 4 pixels would be best for us, with optical zooming.
How much should we be prepared to pay, we are not sure of how much is fair, as there are loads of different cameras with different specs on them
and what should be the best kind to go for, we are new to digital photography and have never owned a digital camera
any ideas appreciated

I am very happy with the Fujifilm Finepix F10 for night photography, except it will only take pictures up to 15 seconds long. I'd like to get a digital camera that will let me take really long pictures for low light photography. It would have to have a manual focus since an automatic focus obviously won't work with next to no light. Is there a web site where I can browse or search for digital cameras by the shutter speed?

I'm looking for a digital camera. I've never really been a fan of digital, I've always liked film better, but I want something that I can just snap a picture whenever I want and not have to worry about buying film or developing it or anything. I can't afford a digital SLR, but I want a point and shoot that has some manual controls, a good optical zoom, good image quality, and a good price. Please help!

Hi- I am looking at digital cameras online and am trying to upgrade from my point and shoot digital camera. I am a novice and I am confused about zoom lenses when listed as 18 to 55mm zoom...what does that translate to in how they are normally listed on a digital camera (3x, 5x, 12x etc) THANKS A MILLION!

I have a digital camera but it only takes like 30 second video clips and then it stops and then you can take another 30 sec clip and so on, no matter what size my memory card it's only 30 sec. I want to get a new camera that takes longer video. Anybody have any suggestions or have a camera that takes like 3-4 minutes or longer of video? I go to a lot of concerts and camcorders aren't allowed in but cameras are, and I like to get video of it.
