OK! I want a good-quality camera. My dad found an awesome deal for the Pentax K100D Super. Before I was going to go with the Canon Powershot S5. But since the K100D is a DSLR, I understand that the quality will be better.
1. The S5 has 8 megapixels. If I want to crop an image, I will get higher quality than with a 6-Megapixel. (K100D)
2. The S5 has a turnable screen. I'm VERY used to being able to see what I'm shooting whether it's above me or below me. It's just a comfy feature. Then again, the K100D has only a viewfinder to see what you're shooting. So I have to guess at what I'm shooting to get a nice picture.
3. The K100D has better quality. Less chromatic aberration, a larger sensor. The S5 has the sensor of the 6-MP Canon S3, which cramps more pixels into a same-size sensor.
4. I don't plan on switching lenses. I want to know if the Kit Lens is any good for Macro and landscape photography. If it's capable of super macro, then I'll be even happier.
All I want to know!
