I have a 1986 NEC TV (Model #CT-2020A) television. I can only access 65 cable channels, but by basic cable goes to 80 channels.

NOTE: It doesn't have a reset button like some older TVs to update, add or recognize new channels from Comcast (when the cable company adds new channels). I have called Comcast and they can't help me.

Could this be lacking or needing a memory module?
Any thoughts?

This was one of the best TVs on the market at that time...380 lines of resulution versus 270 on all other sets. And the picture still looks great. That's why I haven't replaced it yet.

Find a VCR that's a bit newer and use it's tuner to feed a signal to your TV. You just need the electronics, the tape part doesn't need to be in working order.
