The PS3 has much better graphics than a PS2 even on a regular TV.
When you do get a HDTV, be sure to get a HDMI cable for your PS3 so you can get the best possible picture from it.

NO it's not. I use a regular tube television and the picture looks amazing. I have a Insignia tube television that I bought last year, so it was a pretty new tube t.v. and I get good picture with it. If it were an old t.v. then the picture would be as great.
I plan on purchasing a HDTV in at least a year so that I can get the most out of my PS3.

Even though the ps3 graphics on SD TV arent nearl as good as HD it is stll worth it ecause the graphics still are much better than 360s
i have mine hooked up to an SD TV and the graphics are AMAZING

yep all of them artwork with a non hd television yet u in basic terms opt for to have the cable which i imagine many of the time u get at the same time as u purchase the console or u can extremely get it from any keep that sells those style of issues in basic terms pass and ask them and theyll provide ya it aint too expensive both wish this helps :D

Its well worth getting because of the better graphice. You can add HD tv later

Nope, its not at all piontless. I'm using an SDTV for my PS3 and its still amazing. You can always upgrade it to a HDTV later on.
