Best sound quality mp3 player is somewhat difficult to find but there are many you can find if you are aware of that. Mp3 players do not have good sound quality, full stop.
They are actually not designed to have good sound quality at all, they are designed to store lots of music.

In tests, the iRiver beat the iPod hands down on sound quality and it's a lot cheaper too.
