Whats wrong with my cellular phone?

I picked it up and opened it and the screen is blue. There is nothing but blue there.
Its a Verizon phone. What do you think happened? The outside screen shows the date and time and all that other stuff.

check the S I M card and batterie. try holding the green button for 20 sec if all else fails you should probably try taking it to where you got it from...it may be a problem they cover...and of not then get a new one
