Software - November 2007

Im kind of low on budget, so lets keep it below 1200. Right now i play alot of world of warcraft, and would like to buy a laptop so i could bring it over to one of my friends house and play it with them, so whats a computer that can run a big game like that (with no trouble like lag, or freezing), has decent graphics, and has a decent size screen and good battery life?

I am trying to d/l open office so that i can see my excel spreadsheets on my imac, but i've downloaded the appropriate version of the program, but when I go to open it, it asks for me to select a program to open with... and i don't know what to do. HELP?!

Hi I just got a harddrive for my mac book and I need help how to work it.

I put like my itunes file in, can I like delete allmy itunes and then go back and click on the itunes folder and all my songs etc will be back??

I am wiht Primus.ca . Using Dial-Up. Primus can not keep me connected.. its on a on going bases disconnecting.. almost every 5minutes.. I called them Up and told me that If i want to stay connected that I have to go with High-Speed.. Ouch Sounds exact like sympatico.. on a dial-up to high- speed. and goes on to the next higher high speed.. all want money but not guarrented service. I hate Aol bell, and now Primus.
I use to be with allstream.net but its not the same when another company bought allstream.net.. and allstream.net is not taking residents anymore. soo now bell primus aol.. rogers are all the same play game to get you dish out more money.. and not guarrented service. primus same way.
which service guarrented service...
this is what i pick out
verizon, or yak no bundle package...or vonage
looking for is a bundle package. phone line and internet.
any suggestion or you know a better service provider
help please hate a constantly disconnect

I Ordered a desk top computer, 512 mb ram and 1.5gig processor. It comes with Vista home operating software. Should I quickly replace that with a version of Windows 2000 operating software? I have heard vista home is not a very good operating system, but have never used it.

i keep getting this messege, 'Messegenger Service', 'registry damaged and corrupted'. how do i get rid of it without download what they recommended, because the recommandation that they are asking to download, does not work, after download that registery, you have to buy the product, so is there any of other way tha t i can get this pain in the butt messege off my screen

And white photo!??!?!? Someone said this.. Make 2 layers, one B&W in the background and the colored one on top. Simply erase all that you want to be B&W from the top layer and leave the part you want colored alone

But how do you make two layers.....???
