I will advise you to reinstall your operating, so there will be no more problems. Or try to register the anti-virus.

Didn't you remove through Add/Remove?
Also, if you cl Start, Programs - and can locate the software - usually if you click it you are given an option to uninstall.

If unsuccessful, go to the manufacturer's website. You don't mention which AV program it is.
