Microsoft Works 8 is probably the best of the "Works" office suites. It is Microsoft's small or personal set of office tools. In my opinion, Open Office is a better set of office productivity tools and is free. http://www.openoffice.org But if you really want Works, it can be purchased for around $50 in just about any office supply outlet.

The reason this hasn't been answered is there is NO SUCH PROGRAM as Microsoft Work,
Microsoft does however have
WORD.
There are several other programs they offer in there
Microsoft Office Suite.
They do not come alone they only come in the Office Suite of programs.

Microsoft Works comes with some PCs. I don't think it is as powerful or comprehensive as MS Word. I've been using Word for years and have no wish to change.

If you don't want to buy Word, here is help for Works.

im not understanding your question, if its a program that works best under microsoft then it would be windows XP, if its a program inside windows then its usually microsoft word/word perfect, otherwise im still at a loss about what you are inquiring about.
