I think it's recommended that you have only one installed. If you have two, it could cause one or both not to work properly.

There are advantages annd disadvantages to having two anti-virus programs. You will have to go through twice as many "allow or deny" screens but whatever one misses the other might catch.
The programs may catch each other when they try to update, but if you change your settings and allow the other to access the internet with out you being notified you won't have to worry about their updates.
The first guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
If you don't mind the extra clicking then you're fine.

NEVER EVER USE and have 2 AV on Pc at the same time. any 2 AV conflict each other, will make your PC freeze, and /or create instability. better remove AVG and leave AVAST on you PC.

The one which gives you the best protection is the one you should have. It doesn't make sense to have two antivirus programs since one could interfere with the other.

I have read some articles which say that you should only have one virus checker on your computer. Just make sure it is up dated frequently. Good luck.

the 2 will ruin your computer. never ever put 2 antivirus programs on a computer ever!!!!
