I got quite a response and I really appreciate it. I followed the advises given to me but when I right clicked the desktop properties, customize desktop, on teh general tab, in the desktop icons, there are only 3 boxed, My documents, My computer and My network places. The Internet explorer is not there. On the middle part of the windows, the only icons there are My documents, my computer, my networks places, recycle bin (full) and recycle bin (empty). I even clicked the restore default and the I.E. icon did not appear. Help...

On a Dell laptop w/ Windows XP, there is a recurring error message that says "Server is Busy. Program Manager not responding. Retry?" It doesn't seem to block applications, but the error windows are a pain to close. This started happening at about the same time popups started to appear. Have any of you encountered such an error and have an idea how to resolve it?

The Operating System is Vista

I just got a new computer and, according to the Add/Remove Programs, it has Microsoft Office 2007 installed. But when I try to run Word 2007, it says I need to enter a product key in order to run it. But it didn't come with a product key because it was already installed on my computer. So what do I do?

I am installing my frontpage 2003 but during the installation an error 1305 appear which says set-up cannot read file nortbots.htm

I just bought a new Laptop and it's running Vista. I have Windows Office 2003 on a disk. I copied it to the new laptop. But when I try to open Exel or Word or Powerpoint I get the following message:
'The operating system is not currently configured to run this application'
I have already turned off the User Account Contro (UAC).
Any ideas what to do now??
By the way,I got this MS Office 2003 through 'file sharing'.

Ok, I have this document that is a .doc and since I don't have MS Word, I cannot open it. I am asking for someone with MS Word to give me their email address so I can email them the document and then they can copy and paste the words and stuff in the document and then send it to me as an email.

Don't worry it's just a bathroom scale manual.

i recently purchased mac osx leopard 10.5 and i would like to install it on my pc via pear pc, i have tried http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub... and some videos on youtube but after i double click the mac icon it opens up the "pearpc output console" which is just a black box with a flashing cursor. if anyone can give me any further help please answer and if your solution works ill reward you with the ten points. thanks in advance.

Please help me out- My Mac OS X version 10.4.11 Power PC G4 has got me going crazy! I I cannot get the color back its all in B&W- Yes I shut it down, disconnected everything plugs from the wall sockets, then checked the battery( after shut and completely removing the cable etc) I i did calibration whatever was to be done-but the complete view is in B& W, Even the Yahoo , web pages all in B&W
I went in sys folder , appearance, display everything is in B&W.When I start it , after the OS loads for a real brief moment there is color , the dock and such but then it reverts back to B&W
Can anyone help me please??
Will be most grateful to get any help. In my family we have 5 PC's, desktops, laptops but only one MAC and I use it mostly, so no one really knows- If its the PC they all know and I do too, but MAC is not much favored but by me. I find its very user-friendly but this time I just cannot find the answer in the help menus.PLEASE I REQUEST you all out there to help me

my school used to require us to learn how to type and they had a software called microtype multimedia. it was a really great software and it was fun. i want to play it again for fun but cant seem to find it online so can some one tell me where to find it online and how i can download it to my laptop. thanks i appreciate the help.

The 4 RAM sticks are identical, all Corsair 800Mhz 5-5-5-12.
I was running 32 bit windows and someone said I would need 64 bit to run up to 8GB RAM, but it still says 3.25GB. Plus a minute ago it said you are low on virtual memory, which I have never seen before. Whats the problem?

I want XP back on my computer. The new computer I have has Vista on it. I have a Microsoft Windows XP Professional w/SP2 install disc and if I put it in, will it simply over ride the Vista or do I have to go through some complicated process? Thanks

I don't know what I did. I tried moving my computer's location and everything. My AIM signs me off and then automatically reconnects, so I don't even notice when I do it. But my friends get mad at me because I don't get their IM's and they don't get mine. And I constantly sign on and off their buddy list. How do it stop this?! It's been going on for the past month. I even downloaded the newest AIM to see if it was just the version of AIM I was using, but that wasn't the issue. It's STILL doing it.
