could someone please tell me how i can convert a MPEG movie file to DVD.

You don't have to CONVERT the file to put it on dvd. All you need to do is have software that burns the file onto the dvd. Any computer purchased within the last 5 years will probably have the software already.

Download Ulead videostudio 11 14 day free trial from www.corel.co.uk and your troubles are over.It will do exactly what you want and is very user friendly. The readme file will answer all your questions.

I know a good converter - Nidesof DVD Ripper. It is use to use with clear images.You can visit http://www.nidesoft.com to see whether there is the product you are looking for.

VLC ( http://www.videolan.org ) will handle any necessary format conversion, then you can use a program such as iDVD or Nero to burn the movie onto a DVD.
