First of all what are your system specifications? Did you upgrade from XP? What kind of PC do you have?

My first thought in a situation like this Susan, is that there is a problem with your video driver. So I would verify what driver you're using and upgrade it to the Vista-compatible version.

Check the amount of Ram you are using...you should have at least 1 gb for Vista

Re-image your computer with a different OS cause vista still has bugs.
