A copy of Microsoft Office can be used for a limited time without the key as a trial. Just press return at the screen requesting the key. If you want to continue using it you have to pay for a key.

If that's a trial version, pushing on without entering a product key should let you use the program -- for 30 or 60 days. At the end of that time it will let you read your files, but not edit them or create new files. You have to purchase Microsoft Office 2007 to do that.
Kind of like being hooked like a fish, isn't it?
If you then have files that are locked up in the new Word 2007 file format (.docx), here’s a possibility. Microsoft offers a free Compatibility pack that allows earlier versions of Word to read Word 2007 files. If you have access to an earlier version, this can at least give you back your documents.
Good luck.

What you probably have is the trial version of MS Office 2007. You can try to click the "start" menu. Go to "all programs" , find the "microsoft office tools". In this folder you should find something that says like "activate product". From there it should be just follow the instructions.
Good Luck.

Sounds like you are dealing with a "Trial" version of this software and your trial period has run out. You will now need to purchase this software from Microsoft. It is quite expensive. If all you need is a good word processor and a set of office productivity tools, then download Open Office. You can then delete Microsoft office. Open Office is available at:

No doubt a subtle lure by the people you purchased the PC off. Installing a demo, hoping you'll come back to them to make the full product purchase.
That's your only option. Unless you already purchased a copy of office when you bought the pc. Then you should have been provided with the CD and serial number

Hit continue!!!!
The office came with your computer is trial version, if you did not provide product key the license will expire after 60 days. Hit continue while bringing the office up, a popup note will tell you the 60 days trial period.

it may have just been a trial version of office, did u get a cd of ms office? that may have a product key on it, usually its just a series of numbers and letters.
check with the place where u bought the pc.
if it turns out it is just a trial version and u dont want to pay for office, then try openoffice.org, its free software that u can use for word document, powerpoint, excel etc. My new pc didnt come with office, so i got openoffice and its pretty much identical from what ive seen so far. you can download it from this site

You should have received a trial product key with your computer documentation. Look again; it is either on a piece of paper, or on the Authenticity sticker somewhere on your computer.
