just to satisfy my curiosity, does anyone here know how a software pirate can obtain their unauthorized copies of installers? it seems that before a new software could come up, they already have a copy of it. how do they get it on their computer? i don't buy them, by the way, i invest heavily on legal copies. but i tried to buy once and it worked well, updates and all. how did they do it?

we do not have huge I.T set up and we have only one real time server the system is highly updated with 2gb ram and 160 dual hdd with single processors on that we have oracle database as well as we are using same system for backing up database we do not have any specific back up server all the back up which we are taken of database are there on real time server so we want to know the best practice of backing up our database so in case if we face any problem we can able to get full recovery of data awating for your co operation

My friend recently sent me an iso file to my work computer. It's a software and I wanted to use it at home. Can I just put the iso files onto a cd-r? If so, will I be able to pop the cd-r into my home computer and work immediately or do I need to d/l something to open the file on the cd-r? Thanks in advance~!!

Please tell me step by step how to restore your system to a desired date.
I need to do this because i recently got a virus that none of my anitviruses and anti spyware get rid of.

I saw my friend do this once, it's like a calender and u pick a date that you want to restore it to.
how do i do that?
I Shut down my comp and when starting i pushed F8 but there is no system restore option there.
Please help.
It is a new HP, media center edition computer.

I have updated my xp windows with autopatcher software.
After successful updatation of windows I found one built-in administrator in user settings though I have one administrator already. Now I have two administrators and I like to delete built-in administrator which created after updatation through autopatcher.
Kindly solve the problem.

Why wouldn't a group of programmers be able to figure out the source code for Windows? I understand that Linux is an open source code that is constantly being changed and updated and given away free, and Windows is closed source that cannot be changed or constantly updated. But why couldn't somebody figure it out?

ok i tried out the trial and it kept reminding me that i have 28 days left! so i got nervous and there was two things that sayed quit and continue so i put quit and then i unstall it or whatever i took it out? am i in trouble? cuz i still have a folder about it!

one of my computers already has microsoft office on it. I used the CD I have now to load it on. However, I lost the # (pin or something) for loading microsoft office onto my new computer. Is there anyway I can obtain that number? Maybe off my old computer of something?

I didn't steal it or anything. i bought it brandnew.

I had a wedding last july and my photographer gave me a cd with all the pictures he tooked. Pictures are numbered and kinda like a slideshow/movie cd and he wants me to pick which one i want and that would be the one he would print out. It's 3 dollars a picture. He said if my friends or relatives want a copy they should e-mail him and pay same amount. And that is awfully expensive. I was thinking if i could just take a picture out from the cd. I already paid him a lot to take my pictures and now he is still taking money from me.... OMG!

I have a Laptop, and i have a dvd rom.

I have a CD rom for school that i have to use. The problem is when i put it into the DVD rom, nothing pops up for me to run it.

I have windows vista too and i dont know where to go to run it, if that is evern possible.
