For example, if I wanna remove the grids from cell A-1 to I-14 in the following sample (URL):

How would I do it so the file looks better without the inner grids?
Thank you

Do you mean gridlines (which only show onscreen) or borders which show onscreen and print?

If you want to remove borders from particular cells, select them, then click Format, Cells, Borders, click None.
In the box showing a cell either bordered or not, click on a border to remove it.

Click Print Preview to see if you have achieved the desired results. If not, go back and do a little trial and error until you do.

If you are a frequent user of MS Excel and sometimes wondered whether you can remove the grid lines from your Excel sheet then the answer is 'YES' you can remove the gridlines from Excel sheet.
To remove grid lines from Excel work sheet then follow these steps.

Click on 'Tools' menu and select 'Options'
In the 'Options' dialog box select the 'View' tab
In the 'View' tab uncheck the gridlines check box
Press 'OK' and the gridlines will be gone. However if you create 'New' worksheets the gridlines will be visible again. To hide them follow the above steps again.

Just highlight cell or cells you want to edit, and :
right click ---> format cells ----> border

On the border tab, you can find a box to the left with 4 borders (representing your cell(s)), so just click the borders to remove or add borders/grids..

Hope this helps & good luck,
