I have M-AUDIO SESSIONS software, which is liek garageband for the pc. It's pretty easy to use. I am trying to make Indian Music with the software. Unfortunately nothing that the software has already sounds Indian. I have SWAR Systems, which is a program that has patches for the midi controller. It works in fruity loops and others and has all the indian instruments. I was wandering if there is a way to import those sounds, so that I can use the various differnet instruemnts in Sessions. Maybe by chaning the format or setting it up so That I wil be able to record midi and not have to play the part live and perfect to record it. Please let me know if anybody knows how to do this. If not do you guys recommend any program that is easy where I can do this. I've played around with Fruity loops, Reason, and Cubase and all are a bit complicated. Let me know if you have any recommnedations or know how to make the sounds work in M-audio sessions.

I have to reinstall Windows XP to get the thing to work again, right? I looked at Walmart, Target etc. and they don't sell the disc. We lost our disc 2 years ago. How much do those things go for? I was told about $200.

Why do people always prefer one operating system over the other, both have good and bad points - why not just look at it from this point of view? I've seen numerous people slating MS simply because they own a manopoly, often the statements made about Windows are completely false. On the other hand I've seen people complain about linux.

Why don't people just accept that both operating systems have good and bad points and to live by one alone is pointless.

Apple macs on the other hand... don't get me started! A computer created for artists and children, just kidding ;-).

My Pc has recently really slowed down in speed, i.e. it takes longer to load programs and booting the computer takes a long time. I removed pretty much all the unnecessary software, now if i deleat, say update 6 out of 10 java updates, does that help or does it disturb the program. Also any other tips?
My PC doesn't have any viruses (at least Mc Afee says so) Thanks a lot

I have a few things stuck in my add/remove programs. Really heavy things like games. I've tried using the Tweak program but that doesn't have an option to remove things from add/remove. Can anyone suggest a good free program to use to force remove things from add/remove menu. Thanks

I have been using my Windows XP for 4 years now. So I later desided to create a different user for the Windows.

Like 3 days after I created the user, it kept asking me to activate the windows.

What have I done wrong?

My (really) old laptop was giving me lots of headaches so I got a new PC, but did not purchase the microsoft office counting on the old one I have .So I installed it in my new PC, but I can't actually use it as I don't have the 25-digit product key for my original CD. I'm trying to download the drivers that my college has so that I can save my work to them and then access it with any computer on campus. I have something downloaded, but the only thing I can get it to open with it text editor. OK So I have an old pc that I am giving to someone in Puerto Rico. The pc runs on Windows 98. The person only speaks spanish. I know how to work a computer, but I am not a genius. I never had to do it, bu t I thought I could change it to spanish, now I see that I can't. I changed the keyboard to type spanish letters & I also changed the date/time/currency to Puerto Rico. & I made the computer multilanguage compatible, but I cant get it in spanish. Now I am wondering if the computer needs to be in spanish or if the system(windows) needs to be in spanish. If it is the computer, obviously I cant change it. If it is the system please advise what I need. Thank you, The most helpful gets best answer.

I am a teacher a at a school currently involved in a GIS Competition.

The Program requires schools to gather up a GIS team and solve a thesis or questions using GIS and similar.

My GIS group has decided to do the project on “The optimization of the school bus routes".

This involves the students checking out the routes of the 6 buses at our school. What they want to do is by using the routes and data collected from the students who catch the bus to optimize the routes and suggest which route would be better. They also want to be able to compare it with our Public Transport System and compare and contrast efficiency etc.
They want to import data etc. and put it into a interactive 3D project equipped with Fly Throughs etc and comparison of efficiency, time saved etc. if they caught other means of transport or if the bus routes were chosen. They want the end project to be inviting and appealing.


I am here to ask what software we should use. Money is not an issue so any software that anyone thinks can really help us put this all together. Any GIS Software that can really aid us in this manner and any Interactive and Creation Software that can help us.

Any Contribution will be greatly appreciated.

I have downloaded all 6 iso software from Redhat.

However, I can't seem to boot any of the CD I installed them in.

What must I do to download the Linux iso to my hard disk to use them?

If there is something I need to install the Linux, may I know what is it and how I get it?

Can someone use layman's language. If it is too technical, I wouldn't know. I have went to Redhat's site, but I got more condfused after reading the pages and finding the correct pages.
