in fact i have microsoft office 2003 beta version and when i finshed installed and need to open any office proggrm like word or excel or powerpoint an error apear and say you office need to work on safe mode and proggram dosent work . can you help me to slove this problem . thank you.

Or is it just the Norton Anti-Virus?
I know Norton products are bad, but I really need a firewall. Should I keep Norton or get a whole new firewall?
If I should get a new firewall, what brand do you recommend?

I recently downloaded and installed AVG Free Edition. Everything was fine until i wanted to uninstall it to install the recently purchased McAfee Internet Security. When i went to uninstall my product by using the AVG Uninstall Wizard it said it had removed. So i restarted the pc and went to install McAfee. McAfee said that AVG was not removed. So i tried using Add/Remove Programs and when i went to uninstall from that it gave me the error message:

Installer initialization failed due to following error:
Error: Initialization of the language file "C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG7" failed.
General failure.

So i restarted my pc again and downloaded and run the repair program for it and it still gives me the same message. I have tried system restore and that does not help. What is more annoying is that AVG DO NOT offer technical help for this software and i AM NOT formatting my hard drive.

SENSIBLE ANSWERS PLEASE!

I get these two messages every time I boot up my computer now, and I tried clicking on the OK option as well as the Cancel and "debug" options , but it goes away, only to appear again next time I reboot.

So I imported a clip, but on the clip "sheet" the clip looks gray/faded, and I can't move it into the timeline nor anything else. Does anyone know any solutions or tips on what kind of problem this is?

I have downloaded it, instaled it, all is cool, started sharing files, music cool, got all i needed, but: HOW DO I LISTEN TO THEM FILES?! GOD i feel the stoopid-est person on the universe, i can't listen to what i downloaded, how do i do that, i can't even find them files, what?!

I had Nero StartSmart on my computer. I was trying to get a newer version so I could burn off my dvd's to watch in the dvd player. When I was uploading a newer version of nero - it told me that i had an old version and that it needed to be uninstalled, so I agreed. The next message that popped up was that I needed a serial number to continue - didn't have one - now I have no Nero Startsmart on my computer. Don't have the disc because it was on my computer when I bought it. Any suggestions on where I can get a free version of something that is capable of burning of dvd's and now I need some thing to burn my cd's off too. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME WHO KNOWS HOW!!!!! I got a virus or something in my old Gateway computer, so I reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled my software (Win 98). When it asked for the id number, the number on my disk was about 5 numbers short. So I am without my desktop which is my main work computer. I have placed a lot of my important stuff on this laptop, but the memory has been eaten up with the overload. I really need my desktop back! Can anyone understand why the installation wants more numbers than is on Microsoft's official sticker?

Downloaded version 2005 off the symantec website for 69.00 bucks, trying to reinstall, will not work, called customer support, they tell me must upgrade for 39.00 to get it to work, told them I dont care about the anti virus update right now just want system works I payed for, asked them to just send me the cd in the mail and they said, " no wont work without updating", anyone else feel its a rip off to have to keep paying norton 39.00 bucks a year for virus definition update after paying 69.00 bucks for the software?

everytime i open a Microsoft Word Document Norton Internet Security (2006) does a quick scan on it it says on the bottom left hand corner of word "scanning for viruses" HOW DO I DISABLE THIS? do i have to do change something on Norton or something on Word??? thanks
