everytime i open a Microsoft Word Document Norton Internet Security (2006) does a quick scan on it it says on the bottom left hand corner of word "scanning for viruses" HOW DO I DISABLE THIS? do i have to do change something on Norton or something on Word??? thanks

You will have to change the settings in Norton. Norton uses a plugin for microsoft office, you can disable it by going into options -> miscellaneous -> uncheck 'enable office plugin

Why would you want to stop it? Word viruses that spread through malicious macros are the easiest to spread... as soon as you open a document: zap, you're infected. And so is every document you open after that. And it can even send infected documents to every one in your address book behind your back...
