My guess is Final Cut Pro by Apple. A lot of professional video editors use it - its kind of the "software of choice" for most pro video editors. For the less expensive version get Final Cut Express. You can upgrade to the Pro version for a fee later.

On a Mac I would go with Final Cut; on a PC, Sony Vegas.
