i found out i had an error called
Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000
i then found out my sound card type by opening up my computer - K7S5A
but what do i do with this information please help!

that error sound like you've got no sound driver installed go to the sound card manufacturers website look for their download and support section then download the latest driver for your sound card and install it

ok . see one thing please install sound drives must to be suitable with your mother board . unnessary do'nt install other mother board devices. if you lost your mother borad cd easily you can download the device from company website.
see i am using mercury . i lost my cd but i now the code of that cd. i visit the mercury site there i type my code (for ex kpbm267pm) from there completely i download my mother board device.
