I recently installed a program so I could see who was viewing my profile (at least I thought I could see people viewing my myspace profile)...It installed this security thing and turned out to be a load of spyware...i am running spyware doctor...ive deleted everything i can see and pretty much all of it is gone except that circle with the question mark. it keeps popping up saying i need to install an anti-virus and anti-spyware software. I have Spyware Doctor and AVG anti-virus already...I just want to know how to get the spyware off my computer..help would be greatly appreciated :-)

i have puchased some dvd-r but when i try to burn onto them all my burning software says ilegal disc e.g nero,alohol etc
these might be disc's for actual recordable dvd players but not sure is there any way i can burn onto them using my pc if this is the case

Every once and while, my computer will get very slow. When I go to Windows Task Manager, it usually show the CPU Usage chart as using 100% of the CPU. Sometimes the Processes tab shows a program using close to 100% of the CPU (frequently: iexplorer.exe, NettGain1200_C.exe, and svchost.exe). Then I just end the program controlling that process in the Application tab. But sometimes I don't see anything unusual in the Processor tab. In this case, I usually just log off or restart the computer entirely.

This has been happening every once in a while for a few years now, but eversince I got the Internet (which uses a USB connection to my cell phone) a few months ago, it has been happening more often. It used to be a few times a year; now it's a few times a month.

What's causing this, and how do I remedy it or stop it from happening again?

I have also been successfully using Visual Basic 3.0 for several years and now it seems that Visual Basic 3.0 is not compatible with Windows XP. Microsoft does not have an answer other than I purchase updated programming materials.
Is there an update from VB or other source I can use to make my system work?

My system crashed and the pc repair shop was able to save most of my pics but they are in a different format. It id a .dpp I think or atleast something very similar looking to that. I am not on that pc right now. Anyway, I cant open them with any programs I have and I don't know what it needs.

I have a smal gateway 1400 with windows me and just the other day it started not wanting to come out of standby mode. It happened enough that it gave me a message asking if i wanted to prevent standby mode so I said yes but I want to know what would cause the mess up in the first place. Also, that same pc won't tab down when signing into yahoo oe e-bay but does on a couple of other sites. or it will tab over on some sites but not on others.
