Limewire and vista, How do i get it to work?

I cant get limewire to work, It has installed but wont do full searchs and has problems downloading. I read i have to allow ports on my windows vista firewall so it will work.. Can anyone explain what to do.

First load limewire , then , open tools and select adavance , and there write down the port number , then open control panel and open firewall and just allow the application and select the port to give access too
