I am trying to download Adobe flash player so that I am able to watch videos online. I have dial up internet. I click the "download now" button, and then it says: "When you see the installation completion movie above and text below, your installation was successful. The installation should only take a minute or two on a 56k modem." I don't see any movie or text that they are refering to, so why isn't it working? If this still does not work, are their any alternative video players that I can download?

Hi! My bf just used my laptop now most of the desktop icons (the shortcuts) are broken. Like divided in half. I try to delete it to the recycle bin and make a new one and it's still broken. But only the icon shortcuts are affected though. Pics and other images even in the web are normal. Please help me! My desktop looks so ugly!

okay heres what happened.. I opened add remove program and mistakely uninstalled the REALTEK HD AUDIO which was a sound driver...I downloaded that program again but couldn`t succeed. The musics on windows media player all goes red saying error, no sound but there is a beep sound commin from the CPU at times.
Whenever I try to open volume control from accessories , entertainmemt it says: There Are no Active mixer device..
and when I Try to install or add the sound hardware from control panel , add hardware it doesnt work.
PLEASE HELP HOW CAN I FIX IT MYSELF

hey so my shows and movies have been working fine till the other day when i downloaded the new update. its for div x 6.5 i guess. since then, my movies havn worked. my t.v show's. wont play the video,but play the audio, or will show upside down. when they wokred fine before. i dont get wats going on, or how to fix it.
i uninstalled divx, and downloaded it again to try to fix the issue, but same thing happens
does anyone hav any clue on how to fix this?
has anyone every gone threw this, and wat did u do to fix it??
any help would be awsum, thanx!

If i am trying to open IE(Version 7.0), it's popping up some error and asking to select an option among the two:1)Send Error Report or 2)Don't send it. Which ever i choose, my IE browser window is closing.

I know Different other Browsers are available for us to use, but i want the solution for my problem.

I revert back to IE 6.0 from IE 7.0, it's working fine, but i am unable to work on IE 7.0 version. Don't suggest me that, better work with IE 6.0.

I am using pentium IV processor, Mercury mother board, 128MB RAM, 40 GB Seagate hard disk with WIN 98.
The problems are, 1) whenever i am working in that computer suddenly the computer gets hang (I have use reset button to start the computer) and 2)frequently displaying scan disk error for the hard disk drives, even though i have scan disk the drive after 5-6 days again it gives the same problem. Now a days while working, frequently it displays the message " A fatal exception OE has occured at 016FBFF9DFF. The current application will be terminated.
*Press any key to terminate the current application.
*Press ctrl, alt & del key to restart the computer....
some times displays VXD problem. I should use reset button to restart the computer. i am unable to use internet explorer/ mozilla firefox. (displays the error message that an internal error has occoured and shut down the explorer. I have formatted the c drive reloaded the win98 OS many times but the problem not yet solved.

I have been searching for a long time to try to find a calendar application like the one on a now-abandoned site that a local ministry group had put up a couple of years ago. The calendar consisted of hour-long blocks of time around the clock and people would sign up to commit to pray for local churches during the period for which they were signed up, and they would receive notification e-mails as reminders before the time for which they signed up. I've tried to reach the programmer who put the site together, but he doesn't live in this area, and the people who worked with him to set up the site aren't sure where the application came from. If any of you could tell me where I might find an application like the one at this link, I would be very grateful:

I am trying to convert pictures that I have on my PC to put them on a website. The pictures now are 1.5MB or more. The website only allows to 600KB. is there an easy program that will reduce the size of the picture, then allow it to be put back in my P.C. picture file?

I cannot get cftmon to keep from running on startup. I have gone into MS help site and followed the directions to stop it. IE. add/remove programs, going into word and works, etc. It keeps on coming back no matter what I do. Anyone out there got a secret tweak to put cftmon to sleep permanently?
