Software - March 2007

I have an AVI movie (not usable by quicktime or iMovie) and a separate MP3 audio track. I want to play the two together in sync. Is there a painless way to do this?

I don't have Photoshop, and don't want to pay for it. I'm somewhat tech savvy, and have used GIMP, but just don't want to spend time writing my own script-fu, but I don't mind using one if it works. I have over 700 images which I would like to scale down, and some have different orientations (4:3 and 3:4 etc). Please show/tell me some ways to resize them in an efficient manner that doesn't require using evaluation/paid software.

ok, so ive downloaded and installed windows vista but my comp doesnt have enough ram to run aero glass so i only have the basic theme which imho is really ugly. windows xp windows look better then the basic theme for vista, so i was wondering if there were any themes to download to make my vista windows look different or at least change the color to black???? i cant even do that!! i like everything else on it, just not vista basic theme. thanks alot!!! or, also if i upgraded my ram to 1gb would my comp automatically allow me to run aero??? or would i have to reinstall it??? please help and thanks!!!!!!!

They are no longer supported by Microsoft. I bought a timeshare and to look at the catalog of all the places I can exchange my timeshare for I need explorer 8 or something newer than what I have. That makes me mad. I have Netscape too but it is too old also. so, I have to buy a newer version and mine works fine for everything else. I know you can verify that it is authentic but that doesn't work. I have tried. My system is old and it's never worked better except that now I figure all newer companies will be going on to bigger and better and forcing us to buy to keep up. that is my opinion. I don't have XP and didn't know it that is what I should get or the new Vista? I am confused about the problems some are having. I'm not a gamer. So, any input would be helpful and any recomendations on where to buy for the best price and help if I need it. Thanks.

I used the DVD Decryptor to get one of my DVDs onto my hard drive, but now I can't figure out how to get the movie into a format that I can load onto my multi-media player. I have a number of programs (Daemon, Gordian Knot, SUPER) but i don't know how to use any of them and can't find tutorials in plain english to help me. Any advice?

I'm not much into audio or video files.
Is it a new system or an enhancement of Windows XP?
It seems you need a huge amount of hardware capacity just to be able load it.

I use RealPlayer all the time or Windows Media Player.
The radio stations you can catch with those are pretty cool.

I have a Compaq Armada 1573DM laptop and the driver for the display adapter isnt working right or something. I can only get '16 color' or '2 color' color settings.
